The Civil Engineering Science and Technology Journal (CESTJ) was founded in early 2025 by a forward-thinking group of academics and researchers at the College of Engineering, University of Basrah. In an era of rapid technological advancement and pressing global challenges, the founders recognized a critical need for a scholarly journal that was not only academically rigorous but also free from the traditional barriers of publishing.
