Ali H. Al Aboodi received the B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering from Dept. of Civil Engineering, College of Engineering, University of Basrah, Basrah, Iraq in 2000. He received the M.Sc. degree in “Water Resources Engineering” from University of Basrah, in 2003. Also, He received the Ph.D. degree in “Water Resources Engineering” from University of Basrah, in 2012. He is working as professor in the Dept. of Civil Engineering, College of Engineering, University of Basrah, Basrah, Iraq. His research interest includes; groundwater and river flow modeling, by ANN, ANFIS and Fuzzy Logic Control and optimal management by genetic algorithm.

Samoel Mahdi Saleh is a Professor of Structural Engineering in the Department of Civil Engineering, College of Engineering, University of Basrah, Iraq. He received his B.Sc. (1999), M.Sc. (2001), and Ph.D. (2014) degrees in Civil/Structural Engineering from the University of Basrah. His teaching experience spans over two decades, covering engineering mechanics, statistics, mathematics, and theory of structures, design of concrete structures, and design of steel structures. Dr. Saleh’s research interests include composite structures, and structural dynamics, with numerous publications in reputable national and international journals. In addition to his academic work, he has extensive professional experience as a structural design consultant and soil investigation specialist, contributing to major engineering projects across Iraq. He is a member of the Iraqi Engineers Union and the Engineering Consultation Bureau at the University of Basrah.

Dr. Mohamad Alyounis is a Professor of Civil Engineering at the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Basrah, Iraq, with more than three decades of academic, research, and professional experience. He received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Arizona, USA, in 2013 (GPA 4.00/4.00), specializing in soil–structure interaction, offshore pile foundations, and constitutive modeling of geomaterials, under the supervision of Professor Chandrakant S. Desai. He also holds an M.Sc. in Structural Engineering (First Class Honors) and a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering (First Class Honors) from the University of Basrah.

Dr. Alyounis has held several academic positions, including Adjunct Professor at the University of Southern Queensland, Australia, and Teaching Assistant at the University of Arizona. His research interests encompass dynamic and seismic soil–structure interaction, offshore and onshore pile foundations, numerical methods in geomechanics, earthquake engineering, and concrete structures. He has authored and co-authored more than 30 peer-reviewed journal and conference publications.

Prof. Dr. Ammar Salman Dawood is a professor specializing in Civil Engineering – Environmental Engineering, working as a faculty member in the Civil Engineering Department at the College of Engineering, University of Basrah. He received his PhD from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) in 2013 and has over twenty years of academic and research experience in university teaching and graduate supervision. He has published approximately 88 peer-reviewed papers in local and international journals and conferences indexed in Scopus and Web of Science databases. He currently serves as Director of the Quality Assurance Division at the University of Basrah since 2019, actively contributing to the development of educational and research processes at the university.
